Returns Policy
Momentum Returns
This page explains when a product can be returned to Momentum and what happens when it is. Like our Warranty Policy, it’s written to be clear at the moment you actually need it.
Two things up front. Momentum does not accept change-of-mind returns, and an approved return is resolved by repairing or replacing your product — not by a cash refund. Your warranty protects the product and your experience of it; when something covered goes wrong, our job is to get you a working product back.
1. Change-of-Mind Returns Are Not Accepted
We do not accept returns simply because you have changed your mind — because you no longer want the product, found it cheaper elsewhere, or decided after purchase that it wasn’t the right choice.
Momentum products are individually serial-tracked and activated to you at the point of sale. Once a product has been dispatched and its warranty activated, it can no longer be treated or sold as new — which is why a change-of-mind return is not something we can offer.
Because of this, we’d encourage you to check a product’s specifications, compatibility, and details carefully before ordering, and to ask us anything you’re unsure about first. Our team would much rather answer your questions before a purchase than have you commit to the wrong product.
This does not affect your protection if a product is faulty — covered below and in the Warranty Policy — nor any rights you have that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
2. Returns for a Faulty Product
Where a product has a fault covered by the Momentum Warranty Policy, it can be returned to us so the fault can be assessed and put right.
A return of this kind begins as a warranty claim — made against the product’s serial number at momentumelectronics.store/verify or through your Momentum account dashboard. The Warranty Policy sets out what counts as a covered fault, the fourteen-day delivery-defect window, what is excluded, and the full claim process.
In other words: faulty-product returns are governed by your warranty. This page adds the detail on condition and how an approved return is resolved.
3. Condition of a Returned Product
What we need a returned product to be in depends on the reason for the return.
For a warranty fault, the product should be returned complete — with the components and accessories it was supplied with, where relevant — and in a condition consistent with the fault you’ve described.
A product that shows damage falling outside the warranty — physical or impact damage, liquid or moisture damage, misuse, or unauthorised repair or modification — may have its claim declined, because that damage is not a manufacturer fault. The Warranty Policy sets out the full list of what is and isn’t covered.
4. How a Return Is Resolved
When a returned product’s fault is confirmed as covered, Momentum resolves it using one of the following, and reserves the right to determine the most appropriate based on the nature of the fault, product availability, and practical repair considerations:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product
- Provide an equivalent replacement
Momentum does not provide cash refunds. We insure the product and your experience of it, not a sum of money — so a covered fault is put right by restoring your product or providing an equivalent, rather than by returning the purchase price. Approval of a claim does not automatically mean a brand-new unit; repair is often the fastest route, and an equivalent replacement (which may be a refurbished unit of comparable performance) is a valid resolution. Repairs and replacements carry no cost to the value of your cover.
5. Return Shipping
Return shipping follows the same terms as the Warranty Policy. In general, you cover the cost of sending a product to us for assessment. For a confirmed delivery defect reported within fourteen days, Momentum covers that inbound cost — you should not be out of pocket for a product that was faulty before you used it. Where a claim is approved, Momentum may reimburse reasonable shipping or arrange and cover return shipping, and we reserve the right to determine the most appropriate method for warranty fulfilment.
6. What Cannot Be Returned
The following fall outside this policy:
- Products returned for change of mind (see section 1)
- Products whose damage falls outside the warranty — physical, liquid, misuse, or unauthorised repair
- Products reported after their warranty period has expired
- Consumable components subject to normal wear
- Products whose serial number cannot be verified against our records, as set out in the Warranty Policy
7. Your Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy removes or limits any rights you have that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law. Where the law provides a protection beyond what is described here, that protection continues to apply.
8. Questions and Support
